Why I take the pictures.......

I stepped out of my comfort zone and allowed Maddie to take some photos this weekend.  As I was editing them I remembered why I am the one that takes the pictures instead of being in them.  I could not be serious to save my life!!!

Some funny memories, but not a good picture in the bunch thanks to me.

The Haunted Slide

Hunter spent Spring Break at the beach with his friends.  I sent him a text with a picture of the kids on the big slide that said, "Come Home and Play with Us"!!  His response was,"No way its beautiful at the beach today and why is there a ghost in your picture??"

Even though I don't necessarily believe in ghosts, after looking closer at the picture I begin to freak out a little bit.  I was about to make the kids get off the slide and deflate that sucker.  After looking back at all my pics she was in everyone that I had taken of the slide.  She obviously wanted us off!!

I then discovered that my camera on my phone has a ghost app that my kids must have activated the day before while playing with my phone.  You can add all different kinds of ghosts to your pictures to freak people out.  I don't think it is meant to freak yourself out though. We all got a good laugh about it and I am relieved we aren't being invaded by ghosts!!

Spring Break 2013 WooHoo

So for Spring Break 2013 I decided to take the week off and do fun day trips with Maddie, Dakota, and Ally.  Hunter was off to the beach with friends for the week.  We will have some other wonderful family members tag along for some of our trips.  We even have a secret Spring Break hand shake where we say Spring Break Woo Hoo.  Dakota rocks the hand shake!  The weather is cold, brr which totally stinks, but we are determined to make the best of it and have fun anyway!!

Day 1

On day 1 we headed to Gulf Shores Beach with our winter coats on, blah.  We went to the Zoo, Lu Lu's, The Shark Store, and the Krisy Kreme on the way home.  We had an awesome time and everyone learned that I can indeed hula hoop like a champ!!

Dakota loves these small merry go rounds.  Ally and Kaiden needed to stand up to make it exciting!

I told Dakota to look at the signs and it would tell you if they liked the food you had or not.  He then became the food police letting everyone know which animals to feed and which ones not to.

Day 2

On Day 2 it was just the kiddos and me.  We went to see the Crood's at the movies and then on to Sam's Fun City.  We had planned to do more, but Ally started not feeling well so we got Wendy's and headed on home for snuggling and Madagascar 3.  Still had a great day though!!

Day 3

On day 3 we were going to visit 7 parks and have a picnic lunch.  Ally isn't feeling well still so we decided to post pone our park trip until next weekend and stay inside and play.  We watched TV and played and had a carpet picnic. Hoping she feels up to the beach tomorrow.

Day 4

Day 4 was going to be a beach day, but we woke up to 40 degree weather.  So I asked the kids what they wanted to do.  Madison said go to the mall and Olive Garden and Ally and Dakota said Toys R Us. So that is what we did!

On Day 5 the kids got to play on the bouncy slide we rented for Easter and they had no idea about it. We went to pick Madison up and when we got back it was there and all blown up.  

Despite the cold temps and sickness, we had an amazing fun Spring Break!!!

My beautiful Madison got braces in January.  I thought we would do a blog post of before, during, and after.  She had beautiful teeth before just a little over bit and spaces.  She only got the top ones at first and will get the bottom ones soon.

BIG FOOT

For the past year every time we pass Johnson Ford Dakota wants to know when Big Foot is coming back.  Where is Big Foot? Does he have a house??  He was hysterically happy to know that he was indeed finally back to visit us.  I got the WOOHOO reaction when I told him.  So they got to see Big Foot not only on Friday with daddy, but they also suckered me into going again on Saturday instead of cleaning the house!
