Backwards Day

Backwards Day!

Although Backwards Day is officially celebrated on January 31st, we decided to add this day into our summer fun.  We started off the day calling each other our names backwards.  Ally was Ylla, Dakota was Atokad, and I was Amam.  Dakota hated his name so he insisted instead that we call him Monster truck all day and Ally changed her name to Sophia.

We had sandwiches and chips for breakfast on Christmas plates!!

Then we dressed backwards!!

Then instead of drawing a picture on top of our table, I taped paper underneath the table and had them do drawings that way.

This was Ally's drawing.  The moon is upside down, the grass is in the sky and the clouds are on the ground, and the person's hair is in the front, lol!!

 Next we read a very familiar story backwards while that sat upside down on the sofa!!

All day we tried to walk and run backwards, and of course they swam and jumped in the pool backwards.

For lunch we had inside out peanut butter sandwiches and ice cream.  They got to eat their ice cream first of course because its Backwards Day!!

We also made a backwards hopscotch so they could jump backwards on it.  We had breakfast for dinner and I tried to get them to switch beds for the night, but they wouldn't.  

All through the day we tried to do many things backwards.  It was a really fun and memorable day for us!!!
