I am not a person that can handle cold weather. My feet and hands were killing me and the kids were all fine. On our third and last trip out of the day, my little guy wanted to stay out just a little longer. I was SO ready to go in, but in fear that the ice would be melted the next day I decided to tough it out. I was so glad I did as my little guy proclaimed, "This has been the best day of my life!" I knew then that I would stay out as long as he wanted, even if my toes fell off. So awesome how his best day ever was at our house, cost no money, nothing fancy, just God's wonderful white icy work!! Thank you Lord for blessing us with a wonderful day of special memories!!
Update on this blog, the following day the ice had begun to melt so we were able to make snowmen, snow angels, and have a snowball fight. We got the best of both. The ice for slipping and sliding and then the fun with the snow.
The first little bit of ice, the did a little slipping and sliding. |
The next day it was white everywhere, but frozen solid!! |
The next day it had started to melt and was much softer. First thing Dakota did, plopped down in it to make a snow angel!! |
