The kids were out of school Tuesday due to the weather, but the snow was not supposed to come until later. So we decided to have a winter day inside while we waited for the real snow!!
First we made fake snow out of baking soda and shaving cream. It felt like real snow, it was even cold and so much fun to play with!! A little messy, but hey you only live once!!
Please excuse the fact that my son is in Christmas pajamas in January. He is having some attachment issues, so I just continue to let him wear them.
Next we turned on Let it Go from the Frozen movie and danced around and pretended we were ice skating!!
We had a snow man lunch and Ally read What you need to build a snowman to us!
Next the kids made snowmen snacks out of marshmallows, toothpicks, and food markers!
Her snowman likes warm hugs!!
We decided to try making some homemade playdoh. We plan to make some for their classes for Valentines Day so this was a trail run and a perfect activity for a cold day waiting for snow!!
Cooking
Formed a dough
After kneading it
We then added some glitter and food coloring
This was our reading selection for the day. Who knew we had so many snow books!!
