The mean little tooth

This past weekend we dealt with a really mean little tooth!  Ally had a tooth start to bother her on Friday night.  It continued to bother her all weekend, so Monday to the dentist we went.  She was SO nervous about going.  The dentist recommended we extract the tooth due to it being a baby tooth that was soon to come out.  This made Ally very nervous and she started to cry, which broke my heart.  I finally coaxed her into it and she was so brave and did great. She got some great brave girl treats after too! They also gave her a cute little box to put her tooth in!!

The tooth fairy left her some cash and also left her tooth as since she was so brave, yuck!!

Ice Day 2014

We woke up to a beautiful white blanket surrounding our entire yard.  We bundled all up, excited to go out and make snowmen and have snow ball fights and make snow angels.  To our surprise our beautiful snow was frozen solid ice! So instead we ran around sliding and slide down our little hills.  Not what we had in mind, but fun all the same!! The little kids pretended they were the kids from the movie Cloud 9 and they were snow boarding!!

I am not a person that can handle cold weather.  My feet and hands were killing me and the kids were all fine.  On our third and last trip out of the day, my little guy wanted to stay out just a little longer.  I was SO ready to go in, but in fear that the ice would be melted the next day I decided to tough it out.  I was so glad I did as my little guy proclaimed, "This has been the best day of my life!"  I knew then that I would stay out as long as he wanted, even if my toes fell off.  So awesome how his best day ever was at our house, cost no money, nothing fancy, just God's wonderful white icy work!! Thank you Lord for blessing us with a wonderful day of special memories!!

Update on this blog, the following day the ice had begun to melt so we were able to make snowmen, snow angels, and have a snowball fight. We got the best of both. The ice for slipping and sliding and then the fun with the snow.

The first little bit of ice, the did a little slipping and sliding.

The next day it was white everywhere, but frozen solid!!

The next day it had started to melt and was much softer.  First thing Dakota did, plopped down in it to make a snow angel!!
