Getting them up!!!! Hope this helps!!

Get myself ready for school charts!!

Two weeks into the new school year and I am already having trouble motivating them in the mornings.  With four to get out the door, I have to have the little ones do things for themselves.  I came up with this little idea below.  I did a version of this with Maddie and Hunter when they were younger and they liked it.  I followed them around and took pictures of what they were to do each morning, which was fun in itself!!

Next I got all my pictures printed and a piece of foam board.

I cut my foam board in half and cut the pictures out to make more room.  Then I labeled the boards with the tasks.  I took cloth spins and decorate them with the kids names initials.  I did Ally's in orange(her favorite color, and yes I am aware her name Ally Bama and the irony that her favorite color is orange) and I did Dakota's in blue(his favorite color).  The idea is for them to move their clothespin down then board every morning to the different tasks they complete.  If they do them all in a timely manner they get a star for that day and at the end of the week if they have all stars they get 30 minutes each of Mommy has to play whatever I say or maybe a small prize sometimes.  Hope this works, they sure are cute if nothing else!!!

Ready to get our cheer on!! Eagles 2013

So excited to see my girl cheer tonight at the first game of the season.  She looked just beautiful this morning!! Love this girl tons and am really proud of her hard work this year!!

The Eagles had a great first game, close loss at 26-28.  The girls did an awesome job, they looked great!! They for some reason kept getting confused about offense and defense, which was funny after all these years of cheering!

Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone...

Ally was so excited and proud for her first performance with the children's choir yesterday.  She looked beautiful doing hand motions to the song Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone.  She did such a good job and with only one practice!!  Wasn't prepared with my camera so only got one really bad picture, but good enough to spark a memory in the future.  After returning home from church, she was singing and doing some of the hand motions.  I couldn't help but giggle at her rendition below:

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior
has wrestled me!!!

Hehe, wrestled should have been ransomed, it was too cute, I got tickled at her and then after really thinking about it, she got tickled too!! Oh good memories!!

School Lunches 2013

Decided I would start a new blog for this year on my school lunches.  Not only to share with others, but for days when I have a brain block I can look back at what I've done in the past and re-do them.  Most of my food pics are made out of stickers and toothpicks. Hope you all enjoy these as much as my little ones and I do!!

ABC sandwiches, grapes, iced animal cookies, and tomato basil wheat thins.

Paint sandwich, grapes on paint food pic, iced animal crackers, and tomato basil wheat thins!

Hamburger man with cheerio eyes, slim Jim, chips, honey nut cheerios and I added a Hello Kitty sticker to girlie it up!

Happy lunch!  Smiley face sandwich, smiley face food pic with marsh mellows, crackers, and Vienna sausage with smiley faces! I also hid a sugar cookie we made the night before under the sandwich, it has a smiley face too!

Butterfly sandwich with slim Jim center, butterfly food pic with mash mellows, pretzels, crackers, and sugar cookie we made the night before hidden under her sandwich for a surprise!
Princess lunch: Crown sandwich, cookies and chips with Cinderella and high heel accents thrown in.
Dakota like to help make his lunch.  His favorite number is 3, so he put a 3 right in the middle of his sandwich and was happy as can be!!
Sandwich Guy: Marshmellow eyes, cheerio nose!!
Fish sandwich with cheerio bubbles, gold fish, and chips.  I also hid a few pieces of candy corn(Ally's favorite candy) under her chips!!
Cookie Man!!  Dakota decided he wanted to take his lunch 2 minutes before we left, so I whipped this baby up in 3 minutes!!  PB sandwich with cookie eyes!!!
Truck sandwich with grapes on truck sandwich pic
Owl sandwich
Rocket sandwich
Pizza Man!! Pizza sticker on toothpick with grapes, some cheetos, and a cookie!!!

Heart lunch: Heart silicon holders, heart cheese, heart candy, heart pic, and tiny I Love You heart note!

Found the best thing ever to keep drinks cool in lunches.  I got 2 of these for a dollar at the dollar store and they wrap right around the drinks.  My kids say they are much cooler this way then using the character ice blocks.
