We had a super fun Super Hero Day!!
We started off with super hero pancakes!
While the kids were eating their pancakes they got a call from superman(I rang up our house phone from my cell phone). Super man told the kids to look under the door mat that he left them a very important note!!
The note said:
Future Super Hero's,
I need you to go through extreme super hero training today. If you accept this challenge and pass training you will be asked to go on a special Mission Blast!!
Good Luck and Have Fun!
Signed,
Spider man and Superman
Our first training session was the trampoline to learn to jump high over buildings.
Then we went to flight school on the swings!
Next we practice sliding under buildings!!
We used hanging balloons to learn punching and karate techniques!
While I set up some training sessions inside, the kids got to decorate their own super hero anyway they wanted. They turned out sooo cute!!
I had the kids decorate cereal boxes to look like buildings so we could use them in a cheesy photo shoot later that day!!
Next they had to train on how to escape lazor beams. I simply took red yard and tied it around and around our chairs. We did this at Halloween and it was escape the spider web. The kids loved it both times.
Next was flight school. I piled up tons and tons of blankets and pillows and let the kids jump off their stools onto the pile. This was a HUGE hit
Then they went on a villain hunt. I had taken coloring pages and taped them all through the house.
Then they practiced tying up villains!
Then we got to silly string the balloon villains.
Then we picked it all up and made silly string balls!
They passed all their training and got their certificates and license and super ray guns!!
We lined up bad guys and let them shoot them with their ray guns!!
Then we dressed up and took cheesy super hero photos!!
We did this fun rhythm and the kids took turns knocking down the super hero's with the rhythm:
5 Super Hero's brave, looking for someone to save
they heard a crash, one flew off in a flash,
faster than a gravity wave, WHOOSH!!
Next up was Super Hero Sandwiches, Superhero milkshakes, and Iron Man 2 story!!
Next we did a mission blast. The kids had to pop balloons that had fun things for them to do in them. They used pencils to pop the balloons after failed attempts to sit on them.
Pat your head and rub your tummy!!!
Sing your ABC's while spinning
Fly to the bathroom and back
Lick your elbow, try it, its really hard!!
Crab walk
Sing Happy Birthday with 2 marshmellows in your mouth
Next I had them wad up newspaper to throw in the giant web I made with painters tape, then they got to break through it!
We had an awesome day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
