A fun day for only $1.62!!

I am not working this summer so we are finding fun things to do for free or very little money.  We spent $1.62 and had a full day of fun.  

First went to a nearby park that we don't go to often.  We always forget about it because its an older park and there is a new one right down the road, but the kids loved the old neat things they had.

They love this thing, they get to the top and yell king of the mountain!!!

We have 2 libraries within minutes of our house and  they are both very different.  We went to one that morning and they have themed backpacks the kids can check out with books, toys, dvds,and more on the theme.  The kids love them!!  They are both having summer programs too for free we will be going to each week.

Next we went to Burger King for 50 cent ice cream cones.

Then we went home and the kids broke open their backpacks.

It was a raining but we didn't let that stop us. We put on our raincoats and that afternoon we went to the other nearby library and joined the summer reading program.  The kids will receive prizes all summer for their reading.  They got books and DVD's and Dakota checked out a book about turtles and guess what was in our front yard when we got home, yeap a TURTLE!!!

Lots of memories made today!!!
