Summer Daily Fun Week 1

Each day we are doing a few fun activities along with one themed day a week. Here is where I will post our daily activities.

Daily Activities Week 1

Since this weekend was Father's Day the kids and I spent Monday making lots of Father's Day Goodies.

We traced their hands and made I love you this much cards.  The drew me and dad pics and we framed them with Popsicle sticks.  They used rocks to spell out Dad Rocks in clay.  They made a badge for Dad to wear on Fathers day and a certificate.  They did cute interviews with adorable answers. They made a heart with their fingerprints inside which we framed and finally we took a jar we had and put used vinyl to write Daddy's stache with a mustache on it for Dad to put his change in.  We are also going to do some sidewalk chalk Happy Father's Day and We love you Dad on the carport for him to see as soon as he walks out.

We made our weekly library trips.  At one library they got to plant their own flowers and veggies and bring them home and at the other library the Reptile man visited.

They started out right in front, but as the Reptile Man begin to bring in his reptiles they slowly moved farther and farther back.

This guy was my favorite, a 16 year old turtle.

and this guy was my least favorite!!

Oh yeah the go to pet the 18 ft long snake.  I was nervous, but at least the head was 18 feet away as they were petting the tale!!

We went to a nearby park that we haven't visited in awhile and then went for our weekly 50 cent ice cream run.

We took a trip to the creek one afternoon after Daddy got home

I had some left over candy melts from a party so we made some froggie suckers and the kids decorated them with edible markers.

We tried 2 new pool games.
*Don't let the ball touch you- you form a circle and hold hands in the shallow end and place a ball in the middle of the circle and you have to go around and around and try not to let the ball touch you.

*Lunch time-one person is the alligator and gets to the far part of the shallow end and faces the deep end while the other players sit on the steps.  The players yell to the gator WHAT TIME IS IT.  If the gator says 2 o'clock they move 2 steps toward him and continue this until the gator yells LUNCH TIME and comes after them and they have to make it back to the steps before the gator gets them!!

Our themed day for this week was BIKE DAY(see Bike Day blog post). This week's total money spent $1.09!! We only had 4 days this week so not as many activities as we planned, but we just moved them into next week.  Until then live, laugh, and love!!
